funday.

as mentioned in my previous post, I was planning on resting sunday because of the cough I developed on saturday.  I spend the morning catching up on x-files (THAT’S WHAT’S UP), and got a message from ben asking if I wanted to ride twin peaks with him and 2 other guys.  figured, what the heck, I could use the sunlight, and my cough was getting better.

alex (trang) and ben got a bit lost getting to SRSHOUSE, but eventually found their way.  we chilled for a second, and headed towards the academy of science in golden gate park to meet up with jeff (jeffsf on sffixed).  I led from 7th, up woodside, to portola, the beginning of the twin peaks climb.  it was beautiful outside, definitely glad I didn’t stay at home.

of course, we had to see an epic guy up here too.  check out the front-wheel drive his recumbent bike has.  he had campagnolo centaur carbon brifters, and claimed to descend twin peaks at a top speed of 40mph.  I believe him, you can really pick up speed on those things…

and of course, the money shot of san francisco.

bombed twin peaks blvd, wiggled from 17th to roosevelt, to 14th, my favorite descent (OF ALL TIME) in san francisco.  stopped at starbucks to get hooked up with drinks (thanks jeff!), then ben and I split to go to bother rai at chrome.  chilled until he was done with his shift, and bounced home.
