for all my friends · schleck’ing it.

schleck’ing it.

somehow, last year’s tour de france felt more epic.  remember when frank schleck was rocking the luxembourg stripes on his saxobank jersey?  that one looked way better than his leopard-trek jersey…they’re almost too understated.  as a side note, this year’s giro d’italia kicked ass.  but when the tour rolled around again, the course seemed less torturous, and the riders appeared less enthused.  or maybe all the favorites are in such great form, no one can really break off huge time gaps.  there are a fair amount of contenders in the gc, currently.  unfortunately, there was a hell of a lot more crashes this year, a lot of serious injuries, not to mention that dark shadow of car verses breakaway on stage 9.  inrng documented rider withdrawals last week, it’s definitely still relevant: read crashes, falls and fallacies.

I guess we’ll have to see what happens in the alps.
