The CAAD10, getting fixed with a stock cable that I had in my Dura-Ace shifter box. I was warned that it wouldn’t shift as smoothly as the Gore, since the housing under the bar tape was left in for the sake of simplicity. It’s a temporary fix until I can get a new set of Gore Ride On cables from Freewheel.

Zed2 cranks – 65mm carbon fiber spindle. Absolutely mind blowing.
Looking down at the Cervelo S5. There were some very expensive road bikes at the shop.
Anyway, the fix on the CAAD10 took about 10 minutes and cost $15. I’m just glad it was easily/temporarily fixed. At least I can ride this week.

As I was picking up my bike from the shop, I saw Ben’s new Vamoots being built up. Granted, it’s a couple years old, but the guy basically never rode it. The fork logo is getting removed, because it’s hilariously huge. The bike is going to be stellar when it’s complete, good stuff, Ben.

Interesting crank design…no arm at the dead spot, directly across from the pedal – 2 arms at 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock to maximize power transfer on the down stroke. It’s a bit ugly, though…but I’m sure the design is still being refined.
